Manny Pacquiao Prepares for Errol Spence

Manny Pacquiao has impressed onlookers during preparations for his August 21 matchup against Errol Spence. Fans and media personnel alike agree the 42-year-old shows no signs of slowing down leading up to the showdown in Las Vegas.

The rest of the boxing world recently got a preview of what they can expect from Manny Pacquiao when a training video leaked to the public. Pacquiao displayed speed and explosiveness when working on the mitts. He also showed agility and footspeed while jumping rope.

Errol Spence is 27-0 with 21 knockouts and holds both the WBC and IBF welterweight championship belts. He is also 11 years younger than Manny Pacquiao.

Pacquiao feels he enjoys an advantage in both hand and foot speed despite the age difference between the two fighters. Members of the Pacquiao team feel they see flaws in Spence’s fight style that the Filipino boxing legend can exploit.

Errol Spence is also looking strong ahead of his matchup with Pacquiao. He is once again working with longtime strength and conditioning coach Blu Ray and looks to be in excellent shape.

Spence is not underestimating Manny Pacquiao, although he is likely unfazed by talks of the weaknesses in his boxing game. Listening to other fighters say they see something in Spence that will lead to victory against him is familiar territory for the unified welterweight champ.

Four-weight class champion Mikey Garcia also talked about the weaknesses he saw in Spence leading up to their 2019 matchup. Spence went on to win all 12 rounds on all three judges’ scorecards in the contest.

Fans can expect action on August 21 when two of the best southpaws in recent history enter the ring. Manny Pacquiao will be looking to make his case as perhaps the best fighter to lace up a pair of boxing gloves. Errol Spence has the chance to defeat an all-time legend and move up in today’s pound-for-pound rankings.
